Almost certainly won't help. It works fine on 1 & 2, after all.

I think this is where your problem lies. I doubt if carb cleaner will help, 
however. You CAN take the top of the carb off while leaving the bowl in place. 
Then you can inspect the main jet and remove it to clean it if necessary. It's 
useful to just see what things look like when you open it up (is there gas in 
the bowl, for example.)
