Between a '63 and a '65 T-3, they should be the same. Except for maybe
the the front shift housing.
If it is a T-1 tranny, the axles and axle tubes are shorter. 
If you are not going for "Concours" with matching numbers, I would do
the tranny swap. Finding NOS parts for an early trans could be a
problem. But, the internal parts are the same as a T-1.
