Wooho! I can actually see my name on the list now. I'd just like to say Hi! to everyone on the list and introduce myself. My name is Rick Arens, and I'm a new T3 owner, but I'm not new to VWs. I've had a '68, and a '71 Bug (kept it for 15 years) as well as three Rabbits. I just bought a dual-carbed '71 Fastback for $300 bucks and it runs (sort of)! Needs some fuel hose replaced because there's a leak somewhere, and we all know how dangerous that can be. Since I'm relatively new to the T3 style of engine layout, I have a few questions. Since I have a lot of parts left over from my Bug (don't we all squirrel them away?), will my old Thunderbird T1 header (big collector flange style) work on a T3 motor. I know the heater boxes are different, but what if I use J-tubes. Will it work then? Sorry to be so long-winded, but I wanted you all to know the background reasons for me asking what is probably a stupid question. Thanks for any help you all can provide.
