Any time I go the the Continent I am driving a RHD car in a LHD country. You get used to it; it can be handy looking past the inside of other cars on RH bends to see the road ahead. I admit that overtaking can be more difficult in a normal car. It's not as difficult to see over the traffic in a camper, but you don't usually have enough power to overtake more than a tractor when you have the kitchen sink on board too. ;-) There was a gold VW colour in '74 and ISTR Australian Type 3s were still being built in '74. They had their own colour pallet anyway, so either way it might be original. Dave Hall.
