Any time I go the the Continent I am driving a RHD car in a LHD country.
You get used to it; it can be handy looking past the inside of other cars on
RH bends to see the road ahead.  I admit that overtaking can be more
difficult in a normal car.  It's not as difficult to see over the traffic in
a camper, but you don't usually have enough power to overtake more than a
tractor when you have the kitchen sink on board too. ;-)

There was a gold VW colour in '74 and ISTR Australian Type 3s were still
being built in '74.  They had their own colour pallet anyway, so either way
it might be original.
