Re: type3-d Digest V2004 #784

<x-flowed>Whatever works for you. After my engine ate
#3 exhaust valve.(wasn't pretty),I am hyper sensitive
to heat issues. The only reason I eliminated the stock
cooler was to remove the blockage to #3 cylinder.
After all,it uses some of the cooling air that could be used
in that corner of the engine.Cooling the oil became the job
of an outboard fan and cooler.Thermostat on the inlet and
returned in the stock location.(into adapter in stock location)
After I tapped the block for the filter,I thought I might end up
with lower oil pressure.Four runs of hose to filter and cooler
and it still produces 22 psi fully warmed up and 20 psi after
a good high speed run.No worries!

David nelson

I have the stock oil cooler intact... i had to do some cutting due to the thicker flange on the high pressure oil pump and the thick Oil OUT cover plate. like i said just had to do some cutting to the main fan shroud (magnesium main fan shroud) and sealed it um via thin guage steel and little high temp silicone and the car runs great.... i guess i might have to post some pictures... works great ... but the way... Number three runs great!!! :)
