That's got to be the key. I knew someone once who had a Corvair engine in a 60s
bus, so if it will fit in a bus it will fit in a type 3. I wonder how much
heavier it is?


I would expect the cooling to be a problem with a Corvair engine in a type 3,
however, because, like the type 1s, it requires a seal all around the engine
compartment that blocks off the upper half from the lower half.



Yeah, I am sure something would have to be done to get cool air for the cooling air intake. Definitely not a good option for Sophy.....but maybe Jane.....

I read somewhere last night that is adds about 150 lbs which seems like more than I would guess....but maybe. I will have to double check. That may have included a swap to the Corvair automatic transaxle as well.
