[T3] Corvair!

lol ok now before any of you throw your stock loving arms in the air... just think about this. I saw a 73 fasty the other day that had a strange exhuast system. So i pulled over and checked it out ... puzzled by the way it came out the rear i looked under to discover there was two extra cylinders.... nevermind the blocked off and welded fender air vents. so smooth looked like notch fenders. and the Porsche 356 Grilles in the rear trunk lid... first i thought oh of course porsche engine converion , right about that time the owner came out of his house and asked "can i help you" slamming my head on the apron and cussing silently to myself i answered.
Turns out its a 65 corvair TURBO motor, linked up to a 901 porsche tranmission. with a Kennedy made link up plate to match the tranny to the motor. we talked for a while and he got so excited he took me for a ride. luanching in this fasty is scary as hell. he drops the clutch at what i would say 3500 rpm. the front end lifts off the ground about a foot chirps the tires and takes off letting the nose settle gracefully . second gear , *chirp* and the front end bounces ... before i knew it the little fasty was going way to fast 4 gear rpms high the stock type 3 (early speedo) grey speedo was maxed out and the car was charging hard.... he backed it off and all i thought was.... damn i want one..... but if i got to 6 cylinders it aint going to chevy , definatly going to be porsche prolly 3.0 or 2.7 linked up with a 901... anyways just want to hear your input and listen to the stockers raise hell..
