I second this. I got this gmail account specifically for mailing lists, and within 2 weeks (!) I've been getting Nigerian 419 scams and variations on that theme- often these guys harvest addresses manually so they just go to known mailing list archives. Now after 2 months, I'm getting spam from automated harvesters. Gmail is really good about filtering spam, but still... this kind of sucks.
