Most replacement boots that I have seen lately, are the split style
boots. they are the easiest to work with. You don't have to take the
axle tubes parts to replace them.
The non-split boot require that you go thru a lot of extra work. I have
never seen anyone replace a boot that way. I have only seen the non
split put on from the outer end by taking the bearing housing/shock
mount off the outer end.
I would not recommend even trying to use a non-split boot, unless you
have the proper tools.

If Russ hasn't seen it done....maybe it can't be. <G>

Anyone had success with stretching the boot over the inner flared end of the axle tube as described and shown in the Bentley manual? I have the non-split boots hanging in my garage right now, but could exchange them for the split replacement type if necessary.
