There's no place to put extra shocks, but you can replace your standard shocks with air shocks. OTOH, the only times I've seen this done it really wasn't very satisfactory because the shocks didn't fit right and rubbed against part of the suspension which wore a hole thru them quickly. They then lost their damping ability. The extra load capacity continued, but they leaked and had to be pumped back up regularly. If this was something that you needed on a regular basis and were willing to sacrifice normal handling for the extra load ability then it might be worthwhile, but if you were hoping that you could just add them on with no downside in normal operation then I don't think you'd be happy with the result. I certainly wasn't. It's possible that there are air shocks out there which fit and work better, but I don't think there's much of a selection for us, since we really aren't a part of the market that the shock makers are scrambling for. I think you're pretty much stuck with J C Whitney grade components. -- Jim Adney jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, WI 53711-3054 USA ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~ Shameless link for search engines: http://listarchive.type3.org ~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
