For a '65, fronts were 311 413 031 /A/K E/G/L were for early '67-on. I don't see anything else in the parts list that changed at the same time, so I have no idea what the difference might be. Both mount on the same lower arms and with the same upper bolts. No, the similarity in part # only means that the Germans had a system in mind when they assigned part #s. > I didnt know fitchel & Sachs shocks came original on our cars! Most of the OE shocks I've seen were F & S. I may have some new Cofap front shocks here. Supposed to be type 3 fronts. I assume they are late ones, but they should work. OTOH, I'm sure I have some good used OE late ones in the garage. -- ******************************* Jim Adney, jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, Wisconsin, USA ******************************* ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~ Shameless link for search engines: http://listarchive.type3.org ~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
