Fess, I would say that for a basic resto like you are describing, and this applies to any car resto, take your estimate and double it. If you are planning to do some work yourself, it may cost you less depending on how much you do. Once you start, you will have no problem spending lots of money. I notice you have not mentioned any work on engine, tranny, brakes, suspension etc. Unless you buy a car where all this work has already been done recently, it will be necessary if you plan on driving it regularly.
