Sounds like you will just need to stop by in person. Not answering the phone is 
usually a bad sign, but he may just be bad at communicating. If you have an 
alternative set up then I don't think there should be any problem with removing 
your car and materials and taking them elsewhere. If he's actually put work 
into it then you may have to work out the details. That could be sticky.

I generally find that things like this get resolved more easily once I'm face 
to face, in spite of my worries beforehand.
