This foam usually falls apart at the first engine rebuild and then never gets replaced. The foam keeps air from slipping past the oil cooler without doing anything. I have replacement foam which I cut to shape. It's better than the original and does not seem to deteriorate. I have 10-15 years of use on several pieces of it. -- ******************************* Jim Adney, jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, Wisconsin, USA ******************************* ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org
