DavidM-O=> "oil pressure" light was flickering on and off. => I could make it go off if I raised the RPMs from the 900s, => I am running 20w for that reason but it seems not to be enough For reference, stock oil weight is straight 30w. I'll infer that when you write "20w" you mean 20w50 or something. It's really not a good idea to increase oil weight to raise oil pressure at idle. The flickering light at idle when hot (and I don't mean overhot) usually indicates marginal loss of pressure due to engine wear and/or a marginal manufacturing variation in the trigger pressure of the oil sender. It is not at all unusual or a cause for serious concern. Oil pressure is naturally very low at high temps, but it's still doing its job. Treat your motor right and it could run just fine like that for another 50k.
