Some years/markets got zero, some got 2, but I don't think anyone got just one. 
Just one on the left side probably makes sense, though, because the most likely 
cause of Dieseling might be the #3 cylinder, but I don't think this is the way 
VW did it. I can check the microfilm tonight.

If you didn't have the solenoid valves, there was a passive idle jet that 
screwed into the same hole.
