I think I've logged about 20 miles in one day. Some things that need immediate attention: The right front wheel is making noise like a bad bearing. I can move the wheel top to bottom, and feel a lot of play. Will have to investigate this before more grin-full driving. And not so immediate: Radio doesn't work. It makes a clicking sound when turned on, but nothing else. The fuel guage doesn't work. The PO gave me his milage log. Some pretty impressive MPG's a few in the 30's, most mid 20's. Much better than my '96 V6 truck... We had an early storm yesterday, didn't take pics. It's looking good today. ;-) -- Phillip Bradfield Member: southern oregon vw club: http://www.sovw.com rose city volksters: http://www.rosecityvolksters.com ddb: http://www.theddb.com 1969 Variant - Savanna beige, with 67 euro fenders, Type 4 2.1l (someday...), speedster soon to have a bus dash 1968 Variant - Granada red (under gray primer), 1835 with dual 40 Dellortos, soon to be full automatic! *new* 1966 Variant - Pearl white - All stock, Pigalle interior, 1600 with dual Solex carburetors 1963 1500 - Ruby red (and rust), 1600 with dual Solex carburetors 19??
