<x-flowed>The part number on the picture is 9 190 040 099 U which is the same part 
number on the one in the aircooled.net picture.  Also, while doing some 
searching on the web I found this link, 
http://www.1800vw.bizhosting.com/voltagereg..htm, which states 'New type 12 
v  Solid State Regulator for Gen.'.  I guess Bosch did finally come out 
with a new regulator for us vintage folk.
