Hi folks, I need your help with a fuel injection diagnosis. My '68 squareback engine quit while driving and will not restart. Initial diagnosis revealed ignition OK, fuel injectors pumping fuel, but it looks like way too much, and engine becomes flooded. I measured the signal going to one of the injectors with an oscilloscope while cranking the engine, and found a constant 12V, not a tens of milliseconds pulse. The fuel flow from the injector also appears constant, not pulsing. All of the sensors (pressure, temperature, throttle switch, distributor contacts) give proper readings when measured at the ECU/computer connector. This suggests to me a problem in the ECU (bad transistor??) but what I've read says that ECU failure is fairly rare. So I have two questions: 1) does this problem sound familiar to anyone? 2) does anyone have a working or suspected good ECU/computer/brain box for a '68 or '69 that they would like to sell? Thanks in advance, Todd Heimer Maryland __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? The New Yahoo!
