Being > frugal has its place but let's > not get cheap! Cheap? I was just curious... I got 124K out of mine, and then it cost me a friggin thousand to get it replaced. I don't think I'm trying to be cheap by wanting to get another 40K out of it or so. :) I don't think I'll be trying this on my Type 3 all the same... Um, mostly because it's an automatic... What might be fun is backing up and then JOLTING it into drive before I stop and then taking off!!!
