By froze, do you mean it has been run out of oil?? They were notorious
for leaking from the pan gasket. 
The oil pump is no biggy, just put a manual pump in.  The car can be
converted to 4 speed pretty easily. Another idea is that a lot of the
parts inside the autostick is the same as a 4 speed. Inside, it is
basically a 4 speed minus 1st gear.
