Rings have nothing to do with oil pressure, only the clearances of pressure fed bearings and the condition of the pump and valves. I imagine that it will last that long even if you drive it regularly, when they really go bad, especially if one bearing goes bad youll hear it banging away for the first few seconds when you start it until the oil pressure comes up. If Jim were here he'd play down the oil light, they start to flicker when the engines are older but these engines are pretty darn durable if not built with cheap parts.
