[T3] FOR SALE: 1970 VW Fastback

Bought this car from the original owner 2 years ago. This car was 
garaged for 30 years in San Francisco and shows very little rust. The 
passenger door was scrapped a bit at one point. The rear panel (under 
the trunk) has a slight dent and there are minor dents in the front 
quarter panels. Paint is original.

Problems: - fuel injection is not working (not sure what the problem 
is) - engine has low compression in one cylinder with a slight noise 
(yes, the engine will need a rebuild) - car needs to be towed, will 
not start

Specs: 1970 Fastback Automatic Original paint and upholstery

Recent Work: - steering box and tie rods rebuilt (steering is tight!) 
- front brakes rebuilt with new brake hoses, front rt. caliper and 
new pads - rear brake pads replaced in last couple years.

Misc: We loved driving this car but we do not have the time to tinker 
with her any more. The fuel injection problem was the kicker, every 
mechanic we found wanted to do a carburetor conversion. I don't have 
the time to learn about the system.

The automatic transmission works great. No problems, always pampered 
and tranny oil changed regularly.

This car is in fantastic shape. It just needs to have someone repair 
the fuel injection and rebuild the engine. It has about 110k miles. 
The odometer was broken for about 4k miles just after we bought it. 
Had to replace the speedo cable - works fine now.

Car is located in San Francisco, CA. Buyer will need to tow her to 
its new location.

I would like to get $500 in cash - new owner could part out the car 
for much more, I just don't have the time or energy.
