Are you sure that you had a 68 with AT? AT was not sold in the US until 69 and the FI/AT combination was not sold anywhere until 69. Dual carbs were sold outside the US up thru 73. 12V in 67 dual port heads in 67 FI in 68 high back seats in 68 external fuel filler in 68 AT in 68.5 (69 in the US) includes IRS IRS in 69 engine case with dual oil pressure valves and larger oil passages in 70. late body style in 70 larger brake calipers in very late 71 different seats in mid 72 > My latest purchase comes from a one owner who was 93 years old. Do we get to see pictures? As nice as it may be, the brakes will probably still need to be worked over. Rebuild, don't replace, the hydraulic parts.
