Really? Wouldn't that tend to "work" the throttle as the engine/tranny mounts and the subframe bushings moved? > What do you recommend when you only have access to 1 length cable and it > is too long. I have seen catalogs where the only throttle cable they > list is one length for the T-3. Check a different catalog, but you're right, it's common to only find one listed. I've always been able to find the right cable, but I suspect that one could shorten a cable by soldering a new sleeve at the right position near the old end, which you would have to cut off. I don't know how hard it might be to come up with something suitable for a new sleeve, or if you could drill out the original and reuse it. Cables are something I always save from old cars. -- Jim Adney jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, WI 53711-3054 USA ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org
