When I used to drive mine in the Winter Id only use the Gas heater when it was under 20F or so, and only to take the chill off the car then. Otherwise the engine heat was fine. I remember many frigid windy trips from Buffalo to Albany in the winter when it was below zero out and I was just toasty in my Square with the heat only about half on... if that!
