We went through this recently on the List, but it doesn't pop up in a search of the archives. IIRC, the later hinges are slightly different (reinforced in some places) than the early ones, but are backward compatible. I know that I have a 72 or 73 hinge on Sophy (66) and will be replacing the other one in the spring.
