Not sure. You may have to go hunting for an original head. Late FI beetles used
a head with a similar boss on the RIGHT side.

Yes, but they are expensive. I'd go back and get everything you can, including
the wiring, the plumbing, the pump, and the gas tank, from the junkyard. Make
sure to get the 3 plates that provide the FP mount, also.

Yes, it would be best to have the correct FI tank, which has both an outlet AND
an inlet, as well as some special internal features. I think you'll have to
improvise a new fuel return line in the tunnel.

The FP relay is under the dash, left side, screwed to the firewall. It has a
translucent plastic plug connected to it for 2 of the wires. The main FI power
relay is under the back seat and looks just like it. Get both and all the wires
related to them.

Almost certainly. Pressure sensor? FI distributor?

This is a big undertaking and is almost foolhardy unless you are already
familiar with the system or have a FI car to look at frequently. Otherwise, you
are welcome to ask questions here as they come up. What year was the donor car?

Good luck. ;-)
