I think this microfilm shows all safety rims because they made safety versions 
which superceeded the earlier ones. It just appears that there was one very 
early one which they just discontinued. I suspected the hubcap clips, but you'd 
think they would have shown the non-clip style as superceeding the earlier 
style.
