Re: [T3] Automatic troubleshooting
<x-flowed>> I'm interested. My 73 slips on the upshift between 2 & 3 when I'm just
giving
it light throttle. If I hold my foot down this delays the shift to
higher
speed/rpms and the shift occurs smoothly. The good news is that it's
done this
since we bought it in '90 and it hasn't changed a bit in that time.
jim,
what you describe as slip, is that a behavior where it seems to slip
out of second, the RPM level rises (since it is now effectively in
neutral) and then after a little delay of maybe half a second third
engages and brings it back down? if that is the case i have the same
symptoms on my '74 412 wagon. it happens under low load only, not under
more spirited acceleration.
at this point the only causes i can think of would be in the
transmission itself.
