The glove boxes break because there is a screw that is supposed to anchor the 
hood release lever mechanism to the dash, so that the stress is NOT taken by 
the paper mache glove box. This screw is often left out and then the glove box 
dies. Your only solutions are to patch up your old one or find a used one in 
better condition. I may have one here, but these are getting rather hard to 
find in good condition.
