Wow, so a M8 die would cut threads in a hole previously made for a M10 bolt?
As I said, we took the bolt, used a die and found the thread pitch and size.
I don't see how this is possible; perhaps somebody had used the wrong bolt
previously. 

So, I should tap these out to a M10 1.5?
