Yes, of course. I should have stated this :-). Vacuum canisters intended for a dual-advance distributor are TOTALLY different in construction from those intended for vacuum-only-advance distributors. Even if you tried, you couldn't very easily swap one in place of another as you could, say, a 36hp dual-advance canister onto a later dual-advance FI distributor.
