	Adjust the valves, the point gap, and ignition timing; all of 
these will make the engine run poorly, and are straightforward to 
adjust to correct specifications.  After these are set, you can then 
have a baseline for doing more investigations -- if they don't 
improve the situation.

	Have you got a Bentley manual?
