Re: [T3] More Samba Facts

<x-flowed>No, it is not in the US manual (I got a 73 US manual).

Basically, the "Variant II" is the panel van, which could be had with windows as well. It used the HD rear suspension, with swing, and the 1500 sidedraft engine. Dual-carb and FI was optional, of course. And this ifo is for late models, as my O'sM is from 1973.

seen it in any of my manuals... So none of them had
the IRS? I'd be interested in finding out more about
this if anyone has any documentation on it...

Thanks.

Not only that, but they were also schwing-axles....
And they had 6 pr tires, camber compensator bar, probably stiffer
shocks etc.. My owner's manual calls it a "Variant II" where mine is a
"Variant I", the regular model. Not to be confused with the VW that actually
was named Variant II on the South American market, of course.
