Hey Jason,

Why use the used pistons? There are NOS ones out there. Here's an example:

I was going to do an original build also, but have run out of money to go
that way. I just need to get my car on the road, and I already have three
1600's sitting here, so I'm just going to stick one of those in my '65.
Maybe one of these days I'll do something else with it, but for now, it's
not going all the way back to stock. I got these pistons for that project,
and guess what... They didn't have any rings! That's why I have all the
rings. A guy had a box of NOS parts, including all these rings, but only
wanted to sell the box complete. Now, if you're interested in NOS domed
pistons.....

Ok here is the scoop on the pistons. They are the real deal from the
factory. 83mm MAHLE dohmed topped pistons! I have no clue what rings fit
based on the description youve given. Im just glad you have a killer
selection. Look below at the pics. The lowest one on the piston is the oil
ring. Its got a funny crinkle ring then the channeled/ grooved ring out side
it. The two upper ones look the same. For those out there that have never
seen a "S" dohmed piston.........here ya go!
