It's me again; this time I have a new difficulty. My generator light comes on when the engine is at low rpm's. I replaced the brushes as per Bentley and Muir, and made sure that the commutator was really clean. Now that the generator is back in, the brush changing made no difference; the light is still on until I give it some gas. Also, if I turn the headlights on, the engine just dies. No sputtering, no coughing, it just dies. Can anyone help me here? I desperately want my darling back on the road again! My thanks to all -Kurt '71 Square '73 Superbeetle (laid up, electrical troubles) __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo!
