Re: [T3] Door Not Closing

<x-flowed>Thanks.

Make sure to glue the water shield back in place carefully.

Fortunately, I had not installed my new door panels and plastic barrier yet.

You will then find that there is a tiny coil spring that has broken

I have recently put in new door seals, I bet the extra door tension of the door releasing caused an possibly weak spring to break. Hmmm.

Yeah, I don't think this question has ever come up here before.

You have to remove the outer door handle, the inner door panel, the inner water
shield (carefully, don't tear it,) and then the door latch assembly. You will
then find that there is a tiny coil spring that has broken and the bits are
lying in the bottom of your door.

Go to the hardware store and buy a similar small spring, or one which you can
cut down to make it the right length. Find the two prongs in the door latch
assembly that this spring needs to attach to.

It's an easy fix, it's just hard to get to.

Make sure to glue the water shield back in place carefully.
