Im running 6.9:1 for the 92 octane pump gas as per thier reccomendation. So im not concerned with the 100lb readings, just the 83 on Cyl #1. I did a cold compression test this morning and it was about 70! I think this is way too low, especially since its 20-30% lower than the others. I squirted some oil in the low cylinder and it went up 5PSI so it doesnt appear to be rings... I rechecked the cold clearance and it was still .006 so... things are really leading to a burned valve. However... Ive run those cheap aftermarket heads in the past in the Square with the soft alloys and sinking valve seats where the exaust valve was found with little or no clearance many times but Ive never burned one. Can a valve be burned that badly in 600 miles or so?? Keith > > Well, if it's designed anything like their other "reliability" engines, they > have way too low of a compression ratio.
