Oh, OK--got ya :^) The large diameter rubber hose that's in there is made out of some kind of spongy material, almost like foam rubber (on the outside, anyway---don't know what it looks like on the inside). It has a metal band-type clamp around each end securing it to the "nipples". (Ouch!) It looks good and new.
