When I recovered my '65 bug, it didn't even have an engine in it.(well, it was in the back seat.) I cost me $20 to get a replacement title, and $10 for the license plates. When I bought my '66 Fastback, the gal at the court house wouldn't believe that I bought it for a 6 pack of Guiness beer. All she wanted to know was how much I paid for it so she could charge me sales tax, and the $10 license fee. All air cooled VW's cost $10 a year to license. My son (in California) contacted me the other night, about getting his '85 honda CRX licensed back here. He went darkside and installed a Japanese dual overhaed cam engine, and they won't pass him on the emissions test because the engine is not orginal to the frame. -- Russ Wolfe '66 FB MT (It drove) '71 FB AT '65 Bug (not running) russw@classicvw.org http://www.classicvw.org ------------------------------------------------ To unsubscribe, E-mail to: <type3-off@vwtype3.org> For more help, see http://vwtype3.org/list/
