I have the same setup on my square. I've had the carbs apart before and remember that the Idle jets a 152's and it runs and idles well. Sorry but I don't remember the other jet sizes. A friend of mine recently bought a set of these carbs new and his idle jets were 160's wich is probably way too rich. My car sometimes postignites,"pops" when I first start it on cold mornings. This is probably due to the lack of chokes and poor fuel atomization when cold. Does your noise go away when the car is warm or happen more during any specific driving conditions? Any exhaust leaks will only agravate this problem. There is information specific to your carbs at redline.com.
