Re: [T3] too much time on my hands


I followed the link to this ebay auction and saw the clock/fuel gauge.

The ad states, "The mechanism will need to be repaired or replaced before
the clock will work. Also the glass is cracked. This is a very unusual part
which was listed as Rarest of the Rare by HotVWs in 1993."

The ad then reads, "It will certainly set your Squareback, Fastback or
Notchback apart from the crowd!"

I don't really think this gauge would set my car apart at all...you see cars
at VW shows all the time with non-working clocks with broken glass. Come to
think of it I have a box of non-working clocks...even a couple combos...but
all is fair on ebay ;-)
