Funny, my box says VW 1600L Variant - 1970. The wipers are right parking (for 71-73), but are silver so would not be right for 73. The airbox and bulkhead is right for 1970. Now I've taken it out of the box, I shall have to do a full inspection! Lovely metal model - the only shame is it's red not green, but they may do a green one in a year or two. Mine is a twin carb with blue coil; about 9" long (I suppose that works out to 1:18 !). I got it from a model stand at a UK show. The typical price here seems to be £40 to £45 ($60 - $70). www.minichamps.de (don't know if they sell them or if that's just for retailers). Dave.
