RE: NOW Shock bolt check out this Fastback


I always thought it should have been connected to something on mine,
especially
when I went to T3D last weekend and all the notches had a rear support, I
was
thinking "oh dear, do I need to have one of those ?"...
Not until I went round and eyeballed all the fastys that I realised some do,
some don't...

I assume it was left in because the engine was generic, i.e not produced
with
the car, so for a given engine they didn't know what it was going into.

I always wondered why VW left the rear shaft that goes in the dohnut (rear
motor shock) on the IRS later T3s? The body mount is gone but the shaft
remains, weird. Any takers?
