> stopping, when i accelerate, it hesitates a little, > then gets progressively worse. Do you mean it gets progressively worse as you pull away from the stop? Or do you mean that the hesitation is progressively worse from one stop sign to the next? My '69 AT, when it's kinda off-tune (especially points), will oscillate between lower & higher revs at a stop. If I push the gas pedal to go at the "wrong" time during these oscillations, I can get it to stall out, guaranteed. It's just my signal that I'm overdue for a tune-up. Janina, do you have tools? Have you adjusted the valves since the new engine has been driven on a bit? You really need to start with adjusting the valves, point gap and timing. You might want to then move on to things like the voltage regulator tests, spark plug wire tests, etc. -Greg ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org
