By "street elbow" here in the colonies, we mean an elbow fitting with
male on one end, and female on the other. Whether it is a solder
fitting, or threaded fitting.
I use a 1/2" copper solder fitting on mine. I connect the female end to
the fill neck with a very short piece of hose, and a couple clamps. I
then run a piece of 5/8" (16mm) hose from that to the "Tee" inside the
trunk.
