Bought my first one (a 69, very good body but no engine) locally for $350. Bought the second one (a 73 with a crap body but complete and running) as a parts/donor car for an incredible $129 - on eBay no less, from a neighboring state. Condition is everything, but unless it's extremely clean or fully restored, I'd say $1750 does sound a bit high. Just my two cents.
