Re: [T3] I bought a 1969 Fastback

Edward, Welcome to the list. This is the BEST place for finding answers to
your car. Empowering type3 owners world wide, so keep that in mind that there
are people from ALL over located here, not just Cali or the US. The first
thing you should buy though is a Bentley manual, as it WILL pay for itself in
a short time. It shows all the proceedures to repairing your car. But if you
get stuck just ask.

The number one thing that I can think of are Fastback pop out window seals.
These are made of unobtainium. I think T-3 detectives has a set of them for
sale @100 per side, just to give you an idea. Type3 only good floor pans are
another, dash pads too, type3 sunroof parts, and I'm sure there are others
that I can't think of right at the moment.
It sounds like you got a good deal, does it still have the FI? or was it
converted to carbs? If its FI, you might want to post some of your problems
and the list can help you solve it. This also goes for carbs, but most
members here have FI. As far as the brakes go, theres already a thread going
on it and you can follow along with it, and ask specific questions dealing
with your car too. Don't be affraid to ask questions either, as we are all
here to help and someone else might have wanted to know too. I hope this
helps, and again Welcome aboard.
