<x-charset iso-8859-1>> Did any of the type 3 fuel pumps incorporate a fuel filter? Yes, all the carb fuel pumps have a filter in them, even the old 36 HP. Type 3 ones are items 17 (1500) and 18 (1600) on the fuel pump picture page from the parts book:- http://www.hallvw.clara.co.uk/type3/T3pbo/T3pb1-38.htm (easy link to remember!). I don't have an extra one in my (proper) VWs, only the watercooled ones (which come with them). Dave.
